This project was produced during an International Organization Internship with Morobe Development Foundation Inc. through the UNDP-administered United Nations Volunteers (UNV) platform.
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The review manuscript synthesizes literature on:
- mangrove carbon sequestration and blue carbon policy;
- sea-level rise and coastal squeeze;
- nutrient loading from local anthropogenic stressors;
- national-scale climate mitigation potential;
- measurement limitations and future monitoring needs.
